a poet inside me
a lover that's hiding
a secret design
that makes the difference
between nothing
and something that can change the world.
i don't want to die
mediocre and bored
i don't want to waste my life
waiting for something more
sure, i realize that
love can be tragic
money ain't magic
it's just paper and plastic
and it can't make a shitty feeling
into something more.
but i don't know
if i'm a believer
or a broken receiver
failing to see
that everything i've wanted
isn't what i'm looking for.
